Welcome to Let's Interact! PDF Print E-mail

‘Let’s Interact’ is a range of software programs designed for teachers and children by teachers and children. Many of the ideas have appeared through classroom practice, discussion with classroom teachers and all activities have been used and discussed with children in the classroom. Each of the ‘Let’s Interact’ activities have been put together in a way that they can be used and embedded creatively throughout the whole curriculum.

‘Let’s Interact’ encompasses a range of fun, stimulating and interactive activities that are available for teachers to use to support learning and teaching in a wide range of curriculum areas. ‘Let’s Interact’ activities are designed to be used on an Interactive Whiteboard, but can just as easily be used on tablet PC’s or classroom PC’s, either within a suite or classroom. Activities are designed to encourage independence and development of children’s skills whilst still allowing the teacher to feel in control of their curriculum. ‘Let’s Interact’ activities are designed to be used as tools to develop children’s skills, knowledge and attitudes supported with the ongoing questioning, interaction and discussion that the teacher generates within the classroom. All of the ‘Let’s Interact’ activities can be used across the primary age phase. Many ideas and suggestions for particular applications are outlined within the appropriate teacher notes and illustrate ways in which you can use the applications to develop cross curricular opportunities. ‘Let’s Interact’ applications were created to provide resources teachers require to support many areas of the Primary School curriculum and in order to address the cross curricular approach to embedding ICT whilst considering the ‘Excellence and Enjoyment’ strategy towards embedding ICT creatively. Resources therefore are available to support the development of unique ICT skills, knowledge and attitudes, the use of ICT as a tool and the use of ICT, which is used to develop subject specific skills, knowledge and attitudes.
